SNAFU
Tonight I went out to run my intervals. My plan to hit up two miles in my neighborhood using lamp posts as interval references and also the inclines……. Well I hit a mile quick and easy. I was feeling great, strong, super stride I was getting… Well on the way back I was running hard and went up to the side walk when my left foot hit the dip… I didn’t crash but your ankle isn’t supposed to bend that damn way. I cursed the whole limp home which was a mile and some change.
Same ankle always happens. I have a PT test coming up on OCT 21-24th. I’m trying to go to SFAS within the next coming months. I’m so damn frustrated. I’m refraining from using the word which I really would love to use and it starts with F! Tomorrow I’m going to the doctors to try and find out why this particular ankle does this to me. I’m flat footed as hell and my feet point slightly outward. I’m wearing a pair of ASIC’s that are made for motion control. First pair of ASIC’s mind you because I prefer New Balance. I need to keep my cardio endurance at least close to where it is at right now because I can not afford to take steps back. As of right now I can barely walk, and I’m hoping like hell they don’t try to put me on crutches especially when I give so much flak to the Privates about it. The difference is they truly are weak hearted and when nobody is looking the skip and jump.
Bottom line is bad damn time for this to happen I can’t even believe this shit. I’m really pissed. That’s my vent I’ll have to get back on the straps and other exercises that I’ve used to strengthen up the old ankle. I guess until I’m cleared to run again maybe I can bike or something?

Palmetto Trail Run
I wanted to run 4mi today and that is what I did, I’m not entirely happen with my split times on mile 3 and 4. The trail is a rolling one and the return trip feels a little bit more up hill. From the start my legs felt different and then on the 2mi return they felt numb and heavy. 2mi out felt alright but the treck back in sucked. Note to self drink more water. It could possibly be the wonderful Arby’s meal I had an hour before I ran. I have to definitely get away from the crap food. Tomorrow I gotta Brigade run and I know its going to be slow but it is what it is.

The Gym
Went to Perez Gym did 4 sets of bench on the hammer machine of 10 reps per, then did pull-ups 8 reps, and incline sit-ups 25 reps, then did close grip bench press 5 sets of 10, then pull-ups 8 reps, then 25 sit-ups slightly inclined, followed by 10 dips, and I alternated these until I completed 4 sets, then did sit up and push up burn out.

Need to Run Faster
I’m a consistent slow ass runner, any tips tricks or anything that you guys could help me out to shave minutes off of my run time but in a short amount of time, I’ve been contemplating getting one of those Golds Gyms weighted running vests. Anything will help!
